Incentives

New government incentives have made it more affordable to take on a new apprentice or workplace trainee. Regardless of if you are a levy-payer or an SME, incentives are available to support and upskill your workforce. This could be in the form of a new or existing employee.

Wise Origin College have supported thousands of learners and hundreds of employers to meet their individual training needs. We want to help you and the existing government incentives make now the perfect time.

Traineeship incentives

Traineeships last for between six weeks and six months. They are targeted to support young people aged 16-24 to provide them with industry specific training.

  • Employers who take on a trainee will receive a £1000 government grant per trainee up to a maximum of ten trainees.
  • The government has expanded eligibility to anyone aged 16-24 with a qualification up to Level 3 (equivalent to ‘A’ Level).

At Wise Origin College we are experienced in the traineeship delivery model and are committed to ensuring this valuable programme is successful for the development of the next generation.

It is important to ensure that the young person is suitable for your company requirements. Wise Origin College will support you with the interview process and prepare the trainees prior with vocational skills and other skills in their pre-placement training.

Wise Origin College believes that a traineeship work placement (70 hours) is a fantastic opportunity for a trainee to showcase their abilities and impress their potential new employer. It also provided the employer with the opportunity to analyse if the trainee will fit their existing business requirements. Employers who take on a trainee and progress them onto an apprenticeship will be eligible for further financial grants of up to £4,000 if the trainee is aged between 16-18 or £3,000 if a learner is aged between 19-24.
