About the Employer

Jigsaw Construction is a contemporary, professional building company. Our projects range from bespoke carpentry jobs to building luxury new build houses; always delivering on quality and striving to exceed expectations.

Duties will include

1. Provide day-to-day administrative duties, including dealing with telephone/email queries, arranging meetings, filing, record keeping and ordering of office supplies.

2. Word processing of various formal documents including quotes and project update reports.

3. Use the accounting software (Xero) to:

a. track all expenditure and allocate expenses to projects.

b. raise sales invoices and chase overdue payments where necessary.

4. Maintain detailed labour logs for the (on-site) team and update related records/spreadsheets.

5. Assist in research/due diligence of products/sub-contractors, as required to support build projects.

6. Set-up trades accounts and liaise with suppliers for any accounts queries.

7. Liaise with tradespeople re. schedules and queries to ensure timely delivery of projects.

8. Liaise with clients as necessary, to include requesting a Google Review at the end of a project.

9. Assist in the preparation of on-site documentation required e.g., health and safety notices, large-scale drawings.

10. Assist with updates to the website and internal SharePoint sites.

11. Proactively drive the continuous improvement of office processes and help maintain the physical office environment by:

a. keeping the office tidy and organised.

b. coordinating any maintenance, network or I.T. requirements.

12. Any other duties as required in keeping with the scope and the spirit of the job purpose.

Desired skills

  • Educated to GCSE level standard including English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel and willingness to learn. Ability to pick up new computer-based systems/ways-of-working quickly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills through a range of relevant media e.g., face to face, email, and telephone. Excellent customer service approach. Attention to detail; ability to work with a high degree of accuracy. Highly organised and motivated.

Desired qualifications

GCSE’s at grades A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) in maths and English
