Apprenticeship Recruitment Process

Recruitment Process

If you have decided that an apprenticeship is the right route for you, contact us today to start your apprenticeship journey. The guide below documents the five key stages from this point to enrolment onto your apprenticeship.

  • 1
    Application

Initially, you will need to apply for an apprenticeship. To do this you need to view our current apprenticeship vacancies or contact us today to discuss opportunities. Wise Origin College has access to a number of employers and we are keen to match you to the best one to meet your individual requirements.

  • 2
    Telephone/online screening

The recruitment team at Wise Origin College will conduct a telephone screening to find out more about you. This is sometimes completed on Zoom as we are keen to get to know you and make sure we match you with a suitable employer. We aim to do this as soon as possible from the moment we are notified of your interest. Our recruitment team will also provide you with comprehensive and detailed information, advice and guidance to ensure we only offer the most suitable opportunities.

  • 3
    Job matching

Once a member of our recruitment team has had the telephone/online screening session with you, we will get to work and find you a suitable apprenticeship. We take into account key aspects such as the employer's distance from your location and the role itself to ensure it matches your requirements. Wise Origin College will only ever place an apprentice with an employer after pre-employment checks have been completed with the employer. This ensures that we do everything possible to support your development and the completion of your apprenticeship.

  • 4
Online, over the phone or face to face interview

Once we have found you the perfect employer match, we will contact you to inform you. The next stage will be an interview with the employer. Do not worry about the interview stage, our expert recruitment team will prepare you to give you the best chances of being successful in the interview. This includes training on interview techniques and guidance around your CV. During the interview, the potential employer will be able to further assess if you will be suitable for their business before offering a job/apprenticeship with them. It will also give you the opportunity to see if you like the employer and see if it will be the right career move for you.

  • 5
    Final decision

Once you have completed stage four of the recruitment process we will contact the employer to establish if you have been successful. If you are successful we will contact you to let you know the next steps including the start date of your employment as well as the enrolment date of your apprenticeship.
